Lyte is a service that offers a network of stations where you can rent and return portable phone chargers anywhere in the city. These chargers are equipped with 5000mAh of power and include cables for iOS devices.

To use Lyte, simply open the app to locate nearby charging stations, scan the QR code at the station to release a portable charger, charge your phone using the provided cable, and return the portable charger to any available slot at a charging station across the city.

To find Lyte charging stations, access the map view in the app to see locations near you. Lyte is currently operational in Los Angeles, US, and London, UK, with upcoming plans to expand to over 10 major cities worldwide by the end of 2020. The cost for using Lyte is $1 or £1 per 30-minute interval, based on your location. Failure to return a portable charger within 24 hours will result in a flat fee of $29.90 or £29.90 and termination of the order on your phone. Following this fee, the portable charger becomes yours to keep.
